Gema Smith, passion for her community and visionary leader

Gema's career began as a loan officer in the late 80's and has continued to grow "I knew all along that I wanted to make a difference in my community" explaines Gema "and in 2010 I was given the opportunity to be part of NHORA".


Launching a new organization can be quite an undertaking and Gema is no stranger to this task. Gema has built and sold her own office over the last decade and is now focused on her business and making a difference in her community.


2010 NHORA Santa Clara County president Gema Smith brought a new level of leadrship to the community by establising relationships with the City of San Jose, Santa Clara County Housing Trust, Local politicians and the Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS.


Consumer education and assisting the Hispanic homeowner continues to be Gema's focus. Gema's ability to identify local initiatives, partnership opportunities, and leadership talent for NHORA will continue to be a high priority in 2011.


In 2011 Gema will also serve in her role as a Director for the California Association of REALTORS  "Im looking foreword to representing my local association at C.A.R. and  NHORA".
